Fellowship Ministries

Parish Food Events
St. Peter’s has four major food events throughout the year: the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper,
a Pig Pickin’in the spring, the Annual Fish Fry in October, and a Family Cookout in early fall. At all four events, parish members and community guests gather together for fellowship, fun, and great food and entertainment. Help is always needed in preparation, cooking, and cleaning up for these events. Various other food events are scheduled throughout the year. They don’t call us St. Eaters for nuthin!

Adult Fellowship Group
A ministry which serves as a catalyst for spiritual and social interaction among adult members of our parish family. Activities are planned throughout the year, many corresponding with church and secular holiday seasons. An excellent way to build healthy relationships with other parish members.

Supper Clubs
Groups of 6-8 parish members who meet monthly for food, fun, and fellowship. Many groups meet in their homes and the meals carry a theme (i.e. Cajun Night or Italian Night), some don’t, and some groups choose to enjoy their meal at a local restaurant. It’s up to the group to decide!
Groups are re-formed 2-3 times per year.

Bible Studies
Bible studies meet throughout the week, both at church and in member’s homes. Some groups are on-going, while others meet until a particular study is completed. Some studies are general in scope, while others are designed to address specific issues or life situations.

Cursillo
A three day course in Christianity which focuses on one’s individual relationship with God within the larger community of the faithful. A Cursillo weekend includes worship, talks on various religious subjects, small group discussions, singing, eating, and fun. St. Peter’s has a small, but faithful, Cursillo community. We are always looking to expand. Bruce and Nancy Comfort are the contacts for this ministry.
